Canada Rocks

And indeed it did!  We spent a fantastic evening celebrating our northern cousins surrounded by the beauty that is "Jacks Garden".  Each year the Canadian Consulate put together a night of food and music with proceeds going to charitable organisations.  Looking back at my photos I am seeing a bit of a theme here....FOOD.  Sorry for all of the food shots but it was so good.  Yet again, White Palace catering have done an amazing job (Remember the white chocolate Mt Rushmore on July 4?)  So we stuffed ourselves silly on Canadian beef and anything else we could get our hands on.  Many people and companies donated both time and goods to make the night a success.  Well done Canada, you did yourself proud.

This beef was sooooo good.

Some liquid refreshments

Is it wrong that I just wanted to stick my head in it?

Even though I had pretty much eaten a whole cow, there was a little bit of room left for this.

This nightcap seemed like a good idea at the time.

  1. Hi,

My name is Severine Minot. As a Canadian, I appreciate your enthusiasm for Canadian parties and food!

I am conducting an independent -unfunded- research on current and past expats in Vietnam, and am wondering if you would agree to participate by filling out a quick survey online... it's completely anonymous and confidential and on a secure site.

It is for my ph.d. research.

I am trying to gather quantitative demographic and occupational data of the expat population across Vietnam as well as qualitative info on some of the challenges expats experience in everyday life or in specific occupational sectors -including parenting!!!

If you would like to participate, I would be infinitely grateful! Just go to:

    https://spreadsheets.google.com/viewform?formkey=dFdKUHZZZmlJa3ctTjE5SDhlOV9MaFE6MQ

Or I can send you a WORD FORM format - just email me at severineminot[at]hotmail[dot]com and I'll send it asap.

I need as many participants as possible - and would really appreciate it if you can pass on the link to other past or current expats in Vietnam...

I will share my results with all my participants, who leave a contact email at the end of the survey and send them an executive summary in the fall 2011.

Thanks for any help you can provide.
    Best regards!

    Sev.
