Now where was I?

Gosh it's been busy. We finished up on the beautiful Celebrity Equinox and travelled by train from our departure point in Rome to the always amazing Venice. Venice.......breathtaking! We were so lucky to re live that special moment all those years ago on a gondola when Nick asked a question and I said yes. We had 2 extra special passengers on board this time!

Naples

Our last port of call aboard Celebrity Equinox was Naples,Italy. We decided against any big day excursions as everyone was getting pretty tired from our late nights. Having done Pompeii and the Amalfi Coast before took a lot of the pressure off. Capri was an option but we eventually decided against it due to the crowds. The lure of an empty cruise liner was too much and we more or less stayed aboard with just nick and I ducking off to use the Internet and of course have a pizza in the home of pizza! We of course got lost and enjoyed wandering through the real Naples with nary a tourist in sight. Our final night was spent farewelling new friends and preparing for our disembarkation. Final formal night and also a champagne brunch. Nick and i are fat as houses! We had a train to catch in the morning to Venice to continue our adventure. We loved the cruise. The staff in particular were amazing and the kids were TOTALLY spoilt. We would take them to dinner and their favourite dishes would magically appear before them. Cherries for Scarlett, banana and apple for Christopher. Soy sauce would be delivered with Scarlett's dinner and ketchup for quiddy. Their favourite fruit punch delivered by our ever smiling sommelier. I can highly recommend Celebrity with kids. The fact that it is not geared for them is actually not a downside. I see it as a bonus as they become just that little bit special. So we are off to Venice, the city of love. We can't wait!

Mykonos

If I could change my blog to the Moggys Mykonos Madness I would! We loved Mykonos. I guess having no expectations or plans may have helped but we had a great time. Swimming in the Med, Greek feasts, great beer, stunning town and the most fun wind ever! Yep! The wind was awesome! It smashed the magnificent green Mediterranean waves into the sea walls and much to our delight, all over us! We went a little crazy but gee it was fun to let loose. Greece has firmly established itself as one of the perfect holiday destinations for us. Now, must go buy that lottery ticket!
